NEST

The word nest instantly brings a warm, cozy feeling to mind. It’s a small space, carefully built with love and care—a safe haven. For birds, it’s where life begins, and for us humans, it’s the home we create with the people we love. A nest is not just a physical space; it’s a symbol of belonging, comfort, and togetherness.

When you hear the word nest, you probably picture a little brown structure delicately perched on a tree branch. Have you ever stopped to watch a bird build its nest? It’s a sight to admire—gathering tiny twigs, bits of leaves, and carefully weaving them together one by one. There’s patience, precision, and a whole lot of care that goes into creating this small home. Once it’s ready, the bird lays its eggs, nurtures them, and raises its young—protecting them until they’re ready to fly.

In many ways, our homes are like nests too. We build them brick by brick, moment by moment—with love, laughter, effort, and dreams. It’s not just about walls and roofs, but about the memories we make inside. The shared meals, the celebrations, the everyday chaos, and the comforting silences—all of it turns a house into a home. Into our nest.

A nest, whether perched on a tree or built with four walls, is a symbol of life, love, and shelter. Just like birds, we too seek a space to return to—a place that makes us feel safe and loved.Because in the end, no matter where we roam, it’s our nest that gives us a sense of belonging and peace.

  1. Watching birds build nests have made me value the efforts of my parents, their patience in constructing a house and filling it with their love, which made it home! The safest refuge in the chaotic world! Love your post!

  2. I could so relate with your description of the bird’s Nest. Few days back, a pigeon had laid eggs and nurtured its babies in the nest she had crafted in our balcony. It was a touching experience to witness nature up close.
