Toys

Toys—just the mention of the word brings a smile, doesn’t it? Whether you’re a child or an adult, there’s always a toy that holds a special place in your heart. They’re not just objects; they’re little time machines, filled with laughter, imagination, and memories.

When someone says “toy,” what’s the first image that comes to your mind? For each age and stage of life, there’s a different kind of toy—from rattles for newborns, blocks for toddlers, dolls and cars for children, to puzzles and games for teenagers and even collectibles or hobbies for adults. There’s something about toys that continues to attract us, no matter how old we grow.

I feel incredibly nostalgic when I see the handful of toys my parents have lovingly preserved from my childhood. Some of them I played with as a toddler—soft plush toys, mini kitchen sets, a spinning top, and even a few board games. Now that I have a daughter of my own, I’ve begun passing them down to her. I shared with her, “Your mother used to play with these.” The joy on her face mirrored mine from all those years ago.

Everyone in the family was pleasantly surprised that these toys still exist, holding decades of stories in their silence. For me, just looking at them brings back the warmth of childhood—carefree days, laughter with friends, and the comfort of home. And now, by playing those same games with my daughter, I feel like I’m reliving those golden moments once again.

Memories truly have a magical way of wrapping themselves around our lives. Sometimes they leave us smiling, sometimes they bring a tear, but they always remind us of the beauty of the past.

Toys may be simple in form, but the joy and emotions they hold are priceless. They connect generations, create memories, and remind us that no matter how old we grow, there’s always a child in us waiting to play again. So, hold onto those toys—they’re not just for fun, they’re for the heart.
