Elizabeth boarded the train. While seated, she recollected the moments she had spent with Victor. Victor was a renowned lawyer who had never lost a case. Their love story began when they both met at a party through a common friend. Elizabeth was half the age of Victor. But that didn’t bother them.
No sooner did Victor begin losing cases and also lost a few clients. His associates blamed Elizabeth for his delinquency thinking that she had bought bad luck. Earlier when Victor was associated with women this kind of failure had never occurred.
Elizabeth had made up her mind to leave Victor because she knew how much he loved his profession and did not want to be a hindrance. When Victor learns that Elizabeth was leaving him, he was disheartened. His friends told him that it was for the best.
The train started, Elizabeth hoped to see Victor. But in vain. Just then she heard a voice asking if she was looking for someone. She was surprised to see Victor. He told her that life without her was meaningless and that he could start his career fresh but didn’t want to give up on her. They smiled and hugged each other.
